With Pulev partly to blame for holding up better fights in the heavyweight division for a number of years I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing the back of the Kissing Bandit after his latest mandated title shot.

This got me thinking, what other fighters are just holding up a division? Is there anyone else taking up space you'd be glad to see removed from title contention?

I'm responding based on the thread title alone.

    Lawrence Okolie.

I feel like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. may fit this bill although he may be cooked following him refusing to take a drugs test back in December.

He's not holding up the division but yeah I see your point and understand why you'll be pleased to see the back of him.

Perhaps generous to call him a contender after the Povetkin loss but Huggie Fury... terrible fight just before Lomachenko - Campbell

I think Crawford's a little harsh he has the potential to be in some great fights at WW.

Crawford vs Postol gave FMJ vs Baldomir vibes.. It was annoying seeing that Crawford and FMJ coulda took it to another gear against an overwhelmingly overmatched opponent but instead chose to stay in cruise control..

Povetkin is still a danger to many top heavies and was beating AJ before getting caught.
