^ Hush, boy. Remy was a monster in his prime. I'd have loved to have seen him in another era so he could face Hug, Aerts etc. His KO of Akebono was downright terrifying. Very scary how quickly a man of that size just dropped to the floor, and how he dropped. Remy starched him!
Certainly a top 5 HW kickboxer... I have him just behind the likes of Aerts, Hoost, and Schilt. Top 4 HW kickboxers is easy... But after that it becomes difficult. JLB, Hug, maybe Hari, or Filho. Then there's the question of rating guys like Maurice Smith, and Branko Cikatic who while legends in their own right represent a more niche, and less talent heavy period for HW kickboxing(kickboxing was just getting started in general) Both were able to hold their own with a lot of the 90s/00s heavies, especially Cikatic who knocked out Hoost twice and won the first K-1 grand prix.... No doubt they were talents and would have done well in any period, but I think they just fall short of the top 5. Maybe they clinch top 10-15 though. :think
Branko was a machine, pal! He had dynamite in those fists. Legit rocket launchers! Those KO's of Hoost, especially the one in the centre of the ring, were spectacular. The one I mentioned really done the job on Ernesto.
