Where's Mile High Mike, we could have had a Alvarado troika.

    Round 1

Alvarado is swarming González from the opening bell. Overhands and uppercuts. González floats some quick stay-away jabs while cutting a wide swath to his left. González tries staking out a piece of real estate and hurling a few uppercuts to fortify it but soon has to evacuate as the building is shelled continuously, basement to roof. Alvarado is slashing upwards, hard combinations of uppercuts on the head, nonstop. González is scampering away, pausing every few paces to flurry to hold off Alvarado, to no avail. Relentless pressure and copious amounts of leather being applied, forcefully and with spite. González finally goes down from accumulation, the ref waving his arms but changing his mind when González seems to miss the cue and requests that his gum shield be replaced. The ref allows the action to resume, but moments later Alvarado has bowled González over again, chasing him into the ropes with a series of powerful hooks off a stiff jab thrust into González's face while sprinting at him, then finishing with a few more uppercuts and one big wallop on the ribs, sending González tottering over sideways, the ref now thinking enough has been seen as González lies supine and twitching.

    KO1!!

Dope, timing on that worked out perfectly; I caught the co-main event just as it was starting (but had to scramble to assemble the opening post for the RBR thread, copy & paste the link, and watch the furious 2+ minutes of action - while composing the RBR post for it completely in my head - all simultaneously...good thing I'm such a stud)

Damn, they wasted no time clearing the ring. Even the co-star of the event had to GTFO (rather than bask in the afterglow of his dominant blitzkrieg victory) in order to make way for his brother's entrance.

This is a stay-busy evening for both Alvarado bros. Félix is riding a 13-0 (12) streak in the last four years since his loss to Juan Carlos Reveco (and last year knocked out Fahlan Sakreerin Jr. in an IBF title eliminator) while René is coming off a big win over Denis Shafikov.

Nice KO, but no surprise. The mexican guy has one of the most blown up records i have ever seen.

    That was some Jedi shit.

"Hi, how are you, my name's Félix, I'll be your opponent tonight, for the next 3 seconds, btw, did I mention you're very sleepy? Goodnight..."

Both co-featured bouts have wrapped in the last 13 minutes and that includes ring intros for both (and ring walks for the latter) - the actual fight clock running for two minutes and change, combined.

lol @ Eliud bearing the nickname "Tysoncito".

Yeah, maybe a mini version of Mike from 2005...but even then, I'm not sure that wouldn't be an insult to even the version that lost to McBride.

Oh damn, just put together why they both have the nickname "Gemelo" (forgot it was Spanish for twin...and that for that matter, they are in fact biological twins...)

Wild that one is, this deep into their careers, still holding steady having never climbed higher than flyweight as the other has climbed from super fly all the way to lightweight. Of course René is three inches taller, which is the dead giveaway they're biological and not identical twins, despite the strong facial resemblance.

You can rewind Nica Boxing Promotion's video link on their FB page and watch the whole card. There were six undercard bouts in support of the Gemelos Explosivo.
