Interesting, both Nazaryan and Ghukasyan are local Yerevan lads and were scheduled in separate contests versus outsiders (Arman Vazgenovich Galstyan from a different Armenian region & Samvel Vagarshakovich Apreyan from St. Petersburg, respectively, and Nazaryan's bout was supposed to be at 140lbs). I guess somebody got pulled last minute and they reshuffled.

 

Alright, (black Yank) ring announcer notwithstanding, the commentary is going to be in, uh...non-American. Russian or Armenian, my uneducated capitalist piggy ears can't differentiate.

 

Both threw heavy leather in the 1st. There was a delay after Ghuk spat his mouthpiece. It did seem a bit of a delaying tactic as Nazaryan was breathing down his neck with nonstop barrages of line drive rights and left hooks in sequence, but Ghuk was mostly keeping up pace throwing back and getting his own licks in throughout. Ought to be a fun little 4-rounder, they're fairly evenly matched.

Second got a bit messier. Naz with some rabbit punches and Ghuk warned for straying low. Both slapping wide on the body and headhunting with straight flurries. Naz went down in the middle of the round but correctly a no-call by the ref; Ghuk had cuffed/pushed him down with his inner right forearm, no contact with the knux.

Naz banging away in R3 with hooks on the body after ducking & weaving in low, and then shooting up rights at the shnoz. Ghuk covering up and circling away, looking to get extension on a counter 1-2 or time Naz with an uppercut. Ghuk pressured repeatedly into the ropes noodling out counter overhands, Naz spraying out blows in bunches at him from a forward crouch, both wildly inaccurate. These fellas are gassed and chucking arm punches just halfway into the minimum length professional contests are scheduled.

30-27 Naz but not a heck of a lot in this. He's just more aggressive, basically.

 

Absolute windmills from Ghuk, missing by a country mile as Naz stays in his chest prodding with jabs and hurling rights off the hip into his chin. They get into some wooly hooking exchanges in the middle of the ring, shoving each other back by turns, terrible technique and aim, feet just splayed out wherever they can gain purchase. When they do land neither one's shots affect the other at all.
