This card has undergone quite a few changes in the last week. The original main event was to be Rokhman Aslanbekovich Akhmetkhanov vs. Ricardo Antonio "El Matador" Mayorga Pérez, but apparently Mayorga didn't even make it to Russia for the weigh-ins, details beyond that very fuzzy. :nusenuse: Sad development for train wreck aficionados, but probably relieving news if you care about Mayorga's health (which he seemingly doesn't, and tbf, never has). The plan had been for Kudukhov to face Sherman "The Caribbean Tank" Williams in the co-main event; instead Williams got replaced with El Felino and that match, what many would call an upgrade, has been elevated to main event status.

Yep. Now that Akhmetkhanov is without an opponent and off the bill, I'm left being familiar with just the pair of headliners ...and then a whole slew of former Soviet bloc guys I've literally never heard of in the prelims, but you're right, these are usually fun.

I've said this before, but one of my heroes, Karl Lagerfeld, once said "If I were a Russian woman I'd be a lesbian because Russian men are all so ugly". The poster above proves the late, great Herr Meister Karl was correct.

10-9 Mironenko, faking out the visitor with feinted left hand leads and instead stepping in close and burying right hooks in his jowls. Despite a vast edge in experience, the journeyman from Nemiriv looking far less well-schooled in the ring.

(Mironenko is making his sophomore professional outing, victorious in his pro debut via 2-minute blitzkrieg TKO1 back in June; Ayvazidi enters with a 12-20-1 record)

Two zip Mironenko, starting to work the body of Ayvazidi (who is coming off two consecutive defeats by stoppage - and seven defeats in a row - and seems to be intent on surviving to buck that recent trend).

Mironenko has rocked Ayvazidi numerous times, particularly with right hooker-cuts on the side of the jaw dashing in, but Ayvazidi is able to effectively cover up and trot away whenever he is badly hurt, and then dive in and tie up in timely fashion to burn more clock.

Otherwise this has been a trench battle of light combination body punching from both. The moment they separate, Mironenko lands bombs upstairs, Ayvazidi gets woozy, and they rinse & repeat the whole process.

    30-27 Mironenko
