    Thanks McVey.
I actually remembered watching that fight all those years ago ..
Nice to see Larry Hazard again , one of the best referees ever and hear the voices of Albert and Dr.Pacheco who were the go to announcers for boxing on NBC.
I was 15yrs old when I watched this fight. And didn't miss a fight on any of the broadcast channels of the era. Purchased every boxing mag I could get my hands on.
It was because of my 1st love of Asian Martial arts and my ultimate love of boxing , I am an American success story today.
The discipline those combat sports gave me was the key difference between where I am today, and the vast majority of the kids I grew up with whom are dead or have done, and are still doing long prison stints.

Jumbo Cummings sounds like an Austin Powers take on a Bond villain.

That was an insight of things to come for Frank.

He was as difficult to hurt as the next HW contender, but my word did he freeze when hurt.

When Massive Spunk caught him at the end of the first round, he didn't try to hit back, didn't try to clinch, didn't use his feet to retreat, didn't move his head and he didn't raise his guard. He dropped his arms to his side and......just stood there. Quite disturbing to watch actually. As was his stoppage to James Smith, for the same reasons.
