David Lethaby got a chance to catch up with Renan Barao post-fight following his first round win over Brad Pickett at UFC 138 this weekend. Seen as an underdog by many coming in, Barao states how he was confident in his stand up against the Brit and how he feels he is ready to take on the top dog at 135lbs. More here: http://www.yourmma.tv/fighters/inte...-138-renan-barao-more-than-ready-for-cruz.htm I think he has a case for a shot, seeing as the UFC won't want him to lose to one of the guys that has already lost to Cruz and for that to scupper their plans i.e. Benavidez, Faber, Johnson (as good as some of those fights would be).
He's got the game to do it I think, if anybody has. I'm not saying he can or will, but his speed is awesome.
Thats a really good interview man :good Barao looks to be a very well rounded complete fighter , who is Cruz fighting next ?? ive heard nothing on this
Faber , who by defention " is not a striker " , hurt Cruz on multiple occasions , Barao is a seasoned striker with precise power , there's a difference , how can Barao handle the other elements to Cruz's game is the question
