Spot on. Came across as truly empty lip service. Rendall did seem to be in no mood for whatever Eddie said though. Who knows. I've really enjoyed Munroe's career, great lad too, seems to get no luck in general. Hope he starts getting some in he future.
Had some great nights watching Rendells fights he gave a particularly good account of himself in Japan.
rendall wasnt a bad boxer , but he complained about the selby stoppage , complained about the quigg fight not being fit etc ... he was a euro level fighter who did well with the tools he had , the martinez win was a great night , but i feel rendall thinks he should of been a world champ , and although he was guided horribly by maloney having built up a bit of a cult following as the boxing binmen ,for me he never had the tools for world level ! good guy though and loved him giving eddie the fookoff tablet
Wish Rendall all the best, good career he can be proud of. If things would have worked out a little differently, I do think he had a world title in him.
yeah i like Munroe, was better than some world champions we have had, hope he has a great retirement, though I will miss him in the ring retiring is the right call
Great servant to the game all to familliar nowadays guys struggle to let go and admit its not there no more and clung on that little bit too long , personally id have liked to have seen him stay retired after the quigg defeat and be remembered as a great fighter rather than drag it out , Was painfull to watch him against warrington as you could clearly see old father time had arisen
