Rendall Munroe v Simone Maludrottu RBR thread

    The biggest test of Rendall's career. He's temporarily binned his day job (see what I did there? :hey:lol:) to prepare for this fight. Maludrottu is a solid Euro class fighter but is kinda unproven at SBW.

    John Watson (who beat Martin Gethin in an absolute ******* earlier this year) returns on the undercard. He faces the tricky Youssef Al Hamidi.

    Ovill McKenzie, Scott Haywood and Larry Olabumiwo are all also in action.

    Coverage starts on SS1 in 10 mins :good

    Just kidding, I won't even be around to do a RBR, as the main event will probably be on while I'm at the gym. :yep

    You're probably the better RBRer anyway.

    Don't think it would be the best idea for Munroe to start slow tonight. EBU title, Italian opponent, dodgy judges, slow start from Munroe. You can see where I'm going with this :deal

    I hope Maludrottu gives him a test at least anyway

    Anyone picking the Italian? I've only seen him against Hasegawa and he was comprehensively outclassed. However Hasegawa is more than a few levels above Rendall.

    I have dual US/UK citizenry by birth (my dad's naturalized American, born Liverpooler). :deal They actually changed that law in '83 but they grandfathered it, so made it by the skin of my teeth. :yep

    Let's hope he does better than the last Italian to fight for the European title on British soil. I'm sure you know who I'm referring to...

    Should be a good fight to be honest, I don't know what state Maludrottu was in but in the days when he was beating Napa and coming up just short at world class he was a very good boxer.

    :lol: No shite. This is like three hours before Sexton-Rogan went on.

    Why the inconsistency? :? On this side of the lake the headliners typically touch gloves around 10-11:30pm, whether it's HBO, Showtime, or Telefutura...
