another dunne munroe- im getting sick of these

lets face it lads the fight dont look like its gonna be going ahead, munroe is fighting in may, dunne and peters will want to sell out the point with a voluntary defence of the wba strap within 4 months so this puts munroe out of the question, then their plan is to bring cabbalero to dublin

also why choose munroe as a voluntary when you can choose a way easier fight who will demand less dollars and dunne and peters will favor this, tough fight against cordoba lets have a handy defence to get the ball rolling

this is whats gonna happen end of

Way easier fight? Who can Dunne fight as a voluntary that would be way easier than Munroe?

So Jeff are you in the camp that Rendall is just big and strong at the weight?? I think he has improved a lot, in the last Martinez fight he seemed to be really thinking in the ring and worked the Spaniard out. If he fought Dunne it would be closer than some people on here think, he's very durable and works the body well.

I think he is at times impressive. He is silky and big and strong... But Dunne is a proven world class fighter....Munroe is the beneficiery of a very empty division.... Could you imagine What Brodie, Oliver, Medkoune, Mullings, Ramoni etc would have done with him? The win over the chap who beat Dunne was impressive but he had made his name catching Bernard cold and hasn't looked good since. I do rate him, but they are incomparable in terms of ability. Dunne would win every round.

Munroe is hardly domestic when he is the Euro champ with good Euro wins. Two of those wins are over the person who sparked Dunne. I don't think Munroe is as talented as Dunne but this is boxing and Munroe could beat a man that Dunne couldn't.

I saw plenty of people on here and other forums calling Dunne domestic level before he fought Cordoba, so by those people's(incorrect) logic Munroe should also be domestic level.

Munroe's a decent European champion but I can't see him coping with the next step up. Whether he will or not though, we certainly won't learn with this fight.

That is such a ridiculous statement.
By your logic, any boxer who beats Matrtinez, or even goes more than one round with him, is better than Dunne.

It's funny, Martinez is one of the less capable boxers that Dunne came up against as European champion (Pickering and Walstad having considerable more rounded skillsets), yet some will hold up Munroe's win over Martinez as proof of how great Munroe is, and claim he is somehow better than Dunne because he was able to outbox Kiko, all the while seeming to forget that Dunne has beat guys with 10 times more boxing capabilty than the Spaniard.

I guess it would not matter if Dunne went on to beat everyone in the top 10 and Munroe kept fighting bums till he ran out of options, Munroe would still come off better as he beat Martinez, right?
