For some reason I've seen absolutely no word on this fight having been made and only spotted it on the boxrec schedule a minute ago. It is on tomorrow in Nuevo León, Monterrey, Mexico (Valladares' hometown) for the IBF strawweight title Cuarto holds. Valladares isn't a great fighter by any means but he's a good contender who used to have a top 10 placement in the division and let's face it a hometown robbery is a high possibility. Do you think the IBF strawweight title will change hands tomorrow or not?
Cuarto doesn't have the power or style to win in Mexico. Valladares wins it, whether by hook or crook.
I have the same feeling about the result myself, I anticipate a rueful ridiculous robbery if it goes the distance unfortunately as I believe Cuarto can outbox him well enough to bank the rounds to win if it were fair.
It'll be a well deserved robbery, since Cuarto has been the beneficiary of two of them back to back over Taduran.
That's very true, I should've thought about that but it slipped my mind, I guess it'd be karma for Cuarto after all. Now I feel much better about the prospect, thanks.
Not really, Pinoy and I scored it on Kirk's thread up top. It was a close fight, but Valladares did enough to win, Pinoy gave it to Cuarto, just just by a hair, 114-113. I had it 116-111 Valladares.
