Legendary trainer JACK RENNIE & referee GUS MERCURIO will be inducted into the Australian boxing Hall of Fame next saturday. Guests at the dinner will include Azumah Nelson, Jeff Fenech & George Bracken. RENNIE 77, was trainer of amongst others, Lionel Rose and Paul Ferreri, both of whom are already members of the Hall of Fame. MERCURIO 80, was a pro fighter, trainer, refereed world title fights (inc Ellis v Michael), actor and author. Well deserved, both!
