Garcia wasn't making a whole lot of clean contact with Spence, either. A lot of Garcia's shots were rolled with or parried as well. Spence had previously been susceptible on occasion to a lead right, but he was locked in and defended that punch, and most others very well.

But he threw so much volume and connected enough that in many rounds that was more than enough to shade them, let's not ac like Farmer has Mikey Garcia like defense.

The simple answer is no but it does affect the scoring of a round on the tactical level.

That's NOT clean punching however. That is the FIRST criteria.

With todays game of MUCH better viewing with HD ,camera angles and so forth you cant really count ARM shots as points.

Good if you are breaking an opponent down and then getting to him, but the arm shots themselves ? Not really.,the judges should be competeant enough to see if you are dominant and then want to count it if you are CLEARLY winning rounds with EFFECTIVE aggression...BUT arm shots in competitive fight :? Not really .

I think this has the potential to rival the 'floored' thread.

Again, I guess that's where the subjectivity exists. I won't tell you you're wrong, although I don't agree.

Yeah, absolutely, and very often, the great rounds contain periods where its literally seesawing from one fighters favour to the other. Or where one fighter beats on the other for half a round and the other rallies back in the second half and eclipses the previous work of the opposition fighter, despite being hurt

There are so many variations when scoring a fight. Yes Mikey blocked a lot of Spence's punches but Mikey wasn't firing any back.

Throwing air shots whilst looking 'slick' can put plenty of rounds in the bank for you too lol
