...do you believe anyone presently in said division could beat the other boxer? Barrera v Morales 1 122lbs Castillo v Corrales 1 135lbs Hagler v Hearns 160lbs Start off with these three bouts. Lets assume the active boxers opponent brings the same intensity they did in the original bout. Lets not put so much emphasis on stylistic advantages/disadvantages in this debate if we can. Lets maybe even say that the active boxer was drawn in to a similar war, or the bouts played out in a similar way to the original...do you believe your chosen active boxer would be able to come out with the 'W'? :good
I was thinking the same matchups. the biggest miss match would be at middle no one could touch either MMH or Tommy today btwn 154 or 168 JMMv MAB or eric @ 122 should have happened as well
Wow, I can't believe this thread garnered as much interest as it did. It is going to take me days to get through all of the comments and analyse everyone's points and debates. You have impressed me General forum. :deal
I suppose I can't say that I would directly favor any active boxer currently established in those divisions over either guys mentioned. :?
Agbeko vs Morales at 122lbs Katsidis vs Corrales at 135lbs Errrrr the 160lbs is hard, I'd like to see Darren Barker vs Hearns at 160, no one except Martinez vs Hagler would be competitive
I think it's more due to the fact tht most people would struggle to find someone to fit the description you're looking for. Take the Middleweight match up for example; Martinez is the clear best at 160, but v Hagler or Hearns? Even as a massive Sergio fan, I wouldn't back him against either. So I think instead of a whole lot of "no one", you've simply got no responses, mate.
