Steve Collins against Chris Eubank. Collins was a replacement for Ray Close and only had a few weeks to train (in Vegas). Nobody expected him to win.

wasnt steve little a replacement for liles? a sparring partner for eubank or benn or wharton?
only guy in the vicinity and it was a fight that was supposed to build up for nunn vs the winner of eubank-benn II and as it ended a draw nunn had a fight planned out soon after where after he won he would then call out the unified champion. and get his name in the british isles as a way of hyping a big fight and then becoming undisputed at 168.

stevie wasnt havng 'nunn' of it...amirite

Foreman over Frazier ... Joe was all ready for the Ali rematch and then pulled out right before signing over purse parity issues and decided on his own to take the Foreman fight and the rest is history ..

Yes; Benn/Eubank/Nunn unification worked out well, didn't it!

 Yeah I remember. For some strange reason King was loving Ribalta at the time.

 i go on about it too much. it's most brilliant storyline that never happend. perfectly planned out...all it needed was 2 things. nunn wins in the uk and either eubank-benn win. both ****ed up

i just love the face on don kings face. like he bought a dodgy motor.

it's just the 'best layed plans...'
