Martinez didn't replace Pavlik, but he couldn't fight due to his infection. I think the most feared **** regrets taking on Martinez on short note, winning a questionable decision and was KTFO in the rematch.

So it went wrong in the long run :D

i think that pac had about a month's notice to fight mab in 2003. that could probably make him a replacement opponent.

for the ledwaba fight, i recall pac had only two week's notice.

Dennis Andries was scheduled to defend his WBC Light Heavyweight title against Don Lalonde . Lalonde pulled out and Jeff Harding was the replacement . Harding tko'd Andries in the 12th round and both guy's took a pummeling in an amazingly grueling fight ! For sure the Andries camp thought Harding was easy meat , had only fought in Australia and only had 14 or 15 pro fights at that stage .

I forgot who Arturio Frias was a late sub for .. BUt he ended up knocking out Claude Noel for the Lw title.

The best one was Isidro Garcia who was in the audience eating a donut when asked to sub for Alejandro Montiel (Fernandos bro)... He ended up upseting PRs Jose Lopez for the WBO flyweight title:lol:
