The first paragraph is about as stupid an analogy as I've ever read. The rest of what you posted is says nothing. McGrain says he would be surprised if HBO throws their weight behind the fight and believes the fight won't do well on ppv. Is it a crime to believe that? No. I side with him. I hope it does well, but if it doesn't so be it. Nobody is really wrong here whether this fight does well or not on ppv if the fight is made. You think it might do well, and that HBO would throw it's weight behind the fight. Boxing isn't rocket science you geek...lol, you fake ass nerd. I'll shite on your posts next time you get out of line Cal fan. Your Cal is better than Mayweather threads are terrible to begin with, and I love both fighters.

I'm out, dawg. If you really want to get PWNED by me, we can pick this up later and I'll do my best, time provided, to fit you into the chair McGrain just shat himself in.

Of course, if you want to make statements which go against reported information as did McGrain, my affixing of your red nose will be even easier.

One doesn't aspire to be in papers of record by going back and forth with anonymous posters calling themselves "Nallege," so I have to move on. It's been cool, and I'll see you around soon. :good

Okay, Paul. I will play your game, though I don't think you are very well.

Here is what I wrote in post 32:

At this point, you posted an article, in post #46. In this article, HBO's Kerry Davis is quoted as saying that, "[the fight] could never be as big as the American public as a fight in the US...if Joe wants to go back to Wales for another fight, we will go with big smiles and open arms." NOWHERE, does Davis say that the fight has HBO's "full backing". That is the opinion of the author, Micheal Pearlman.

You also called me some names. But I thought, "what has happened here is, myself and Paul have different opinions about what "full support" means. I should explain myself. In post #60, I wrote:

Here, I explain what I mean by "full backing". To me, "full backing" means nothing less than these things.

Your reply to this was a near-hysterical ranting about "punking me" and us going "head to head". I have no idea what you are on.

And Paul. You've written above, "you are attempting to fool the readers". Your narcassism is astonishing. Paul, nobody is reading this ****. It is ridiculous.

Paul, you are now quoting the opinion of the author of the article. Even what Davis says himself is inconvlusive, now you're quoting the author interpretation of this article like it proves your point. Even Davis's own words don't do that.

Paul! Nobody is reading this! But i've already explained to you (and the WHOLE WORLD!) what happened.

Jesus. You are acutally a ****ing nut, aren't you?

Paul, you simpleton, listen - THIS MAN IS NOT SAYING THE FIGHT IS GOING TO GET IT'S OWN PAY PER VIEW.

I'm sure that they are 100% commited to Joe having just pulled in the worst PPV figures relative to those projected EVER.

You've opened a thread about how amazing Calzaghe's financial possibilities are the week he returns some of the shitest figures in the company's history. You've repeatedly linked an article where an executive says he will be involved, and they will be happy (like he is going to say they are ****ing furious or something).

You CANNOT show a link to an HBO exutive promising "Full backing", you CANNOT show a link to a confirmation of a 24/7, you CANNOT show link to a confrimation that it will be PPV.

Because all they might back the fight, it will not be PPV.

I'd like to take credit for owning you. But you've basically done it yourself.

This, err...debate that's going on here is bloody hilarious. Does this sort of stuff go on all the time? Are there many other posters that are quite so clearly insane as paulfv?

He seems like a rather bizzare chap; capable of some the most fantastically, self absorbed nonsense that I've yet seen on the net. He is somewhat entertaining though; I'll give him that.

It must be fun to be paulfv

Lol I know reading his posts in this thread is a bit bizarre like a drug induced rant, was completely OTT and irrational.
You'd think he thought he was a pulitzer prize winning writer or something!! Funny as ****!

Here is a guy who uses improper commas, no commas, and starts his sentence with "Which" lol instead of continuing the sentence lol. Try starting a new sentence with proper sentence structure, and a proper word to begin your next sentence. You don't believe me? Read this by itself lol. Which means more for Calz. lol:lol: :nut Which meaning what? lol...

I did actually, and you will note that I wasn't having a go at you. It's the increasingly deranged posts of paulfv that I find amusing. Seems to think he's the Christopher Hitchens of boxing debators.

i am pretty sure joe will get a huge crowd whoever he fights, as long as it is to suit uk time and not american time.

    as to HBO opponents
they traditionally like american based fighters only so it narrows it down a lot

hopkins -is he a HBO draw ?
got poor PPV numbers last time out v a young up and comming fighter
IMO calzaghe and hopkins styles dont gell and i am not sure how hbo could hype it.

hopkins did the black v white thing.
did the never lose to southpaw thing.
did the usa v uk thing.

dlh had to give the casino 2 million back because hopkins never put bums on seats .

not sure how well hopkins v hbo negotiations will go.

but if i was calzaghe i would want large purse in keeping what i had been earning.

He is nothing more than an editor who got fired for erasing a writer's article/criticism of Cal, and injecting his own opinion. Paul now writes for the Calzaghe Dick Ride Express, and he wants everyone aboard...lol.

Well obviously I was enticed by paulfv's proffessional style of writing; obviously well honed whilst working at the NY Times on his (no doubt numerous) articles.
