Report: Floyd Mayweather Jr Splits With Leonard Ellerbe

Floyd Mayweather Jr and longtime business partner Leonard Ellerbe have parted ways, according to "several confidential sources."
Mayweather, 34, has not fought since May 2010 and in that time has made headlines mostly for troubles with the law. The undefeated superstar's other headlines have come from the fact that he and Manny Pacquiao still haven't fought one another, and there have been recent rumors -- which seem light at this point -- of Mayweather returning in September to fight Victor Ortiz.
It seems like a lot of Mayweather's old inner circle might be coming apart. While Floyd makes videos at FightHype and hangs out with 50 Cent and posts on his Twitter account and gambles on basketball games, his boxing career seems more and more messy. He says he hasn't spoken with his uncle and trainer, Roger Mayweather, in months, despite Roger's claims that Floyd would fight this summer at Cowboys Stadium (claims denied by the fighter). And if the split with Ellerbe is true, that's big for Mayweather.
Ellerbe has in the past been criticized for being essentially a hanger-on -- and Floyd's father had harsher, stupider words for him in the past -- but he has undeniably been a big part of Mayweather's team for years now. Ellerbe was last in the news during the most recent failed Mayweather vs Pacquiao negotiations, claiming that no negotiations had taken place, which was wildly untrue.
