sigh..the Great Bob Arum strikes again...

 

I called that this fight would happen, even before Mosley vs Berto was cancelled.

even started a thread about it.

 

Floyd v Mosley was the best fight to make in boxing once the Floyd-Pac negotiations fell through. And there was a lot of people who thought Floyd wouldn't fight him.

Good move, and fight, by Floyd.

 

I don't remember making the statement but I guess I'm reporting for duty..

congrats Money May for fighting a guy who hadn't fought in almost 2 years.

 

It took a massive earthquake that killed 250,000 people for Floyd to fight Mosley. Berto was scheduled to fight Shane until that event which killed some of Berto's relatives forced him to pull out.

"Good move" by Floyd was waiting a decade to fight Mosley, or whatever was left of him.

 

Floyd is the king of hype. Make everyone think you are scared to fight some guy who really isn't that big a threat. Fight him, beat him, and then claim "I beat the guy you said I was scared to fight, I must be the best."

It's like that movie, the great white hype. The black guy beats some white guy that is not a real threat, but people wanted to see the fight right? so it must be a good win.


meanwhile Pac is fighting guys who are more dangerous than they seem to the public. Mosley is not that different now than he was 8 months ago.


When it comes to self promotion, Floyd is king hands down

 

Okay.

It's completely Floyd's fault that a) the Mosley fight didn't happen earlier and b) that a natural disaster killed hundreds of thousands of people.

And as a result, Floyd deserves no credit for fighting and dominating a guy that a large number of people (boxing experts included) said he wouldn't fight, and couldn't win.

Gotcha. I think I'm now starting to understand the minds of how some fans think.

Floyd was FORCED to fight Mosley.
Pacquiao CHERRYPICKS Mosley.

 

I knew one day they would meet and it finally came to pass. This fight would of been much better if Shane would of fought him back in 2000 when Floyd wanted to fight him then. Some criticize Floyd for fighting a old Mosley but who fought was that?

 

When Berto pulled out, I was actually confident the fight would happen.
