Why do you assume Bute will fight some one else before fighting Froch, Ward ?
Bute v Johnson and Froch v Ward are 1 month apart so...

Why the boo ****in hoo?! Bute ain't fighting Magee's, Brinkley's no more. Johnson is top 5/6/7 depending on your rankings, and the next guy after that must be top 3. Ask Showtime.

In 2012 we'll see Bute against top SMW competition, possibly in the US. Whether Ward-Kessler happens first don't matter, Froch talked so much sh1t about Bute the fight would get made in an instant. By same time next year we'll have a very good measure of where Bute stands in the SMW top 5. End of.

By the way I wish Kessler the best, he's been through wars and shouldn't step in the ring before completely (i.e. > 95%) healed.

The delay in Kessler-Stieglitz is good news for Interbox/Bute since they'll have sorted out their fight and a supersix winner will be found long before Kessler enters the ring for Stieglitz. It should give Interbox at least a month to get a deal done with s6 winner while Sauerland can do nothing but look from the sideline.

The winner of the S6 will want an easy homecoming defense. Just sayin'.

If that's the case then Lucian 'Stay at Home' Bute is left looking to settle his unfinished business with Jesse Brinkley........

The Johnson fight is a good level above Lucian's recent opposition.

But are we sure Bute can get Froch (if he lose to Ward of course) next? Is it in Bute's contract with showtime or is only the winner of the S6 guaranteed? Does Showtime have a say in Froch's oponent after the S6? I don't know.

Because the way I see it Froch doesn't need Bute, he has already made a name for himself. He might as well go to 175 and fight Pascal, Cloud, Hopkins, Dawson whomever. If he wants money, Pascal can draw about a little less than Bute and there's a lot demand for that fight. If he wants notoriety he can fight BHOP. And people won't be able to say he's ducking Bute because all the fighters mentioned are not less dangerous/proven than Bute.

That's why I'm afraid Bute might fight a cab driver waiting for Ward, since Ward's team has said they wanted Kessler first and were wainting for Bute to "prove" himself. Thus the boo ****ing hoo. I would hate to see Bute fight Magee II next.

You do raise good points, I see where the whole thing comes from now.

Age will also factor in at some point for Froch, who logically should be going up soon.

If Ward wins and has an easy pick'em at home, and if Froch indeed makes a move to LHW, Bute could still wait a bit for Kessler and get SHO $$$$$$$ in which case it (re: venue) would go to purse bid.

If Bute doesn't face a top 3 SMW within the next 10-12 months, I think I give up. Seriously, all the ingredients are there. Fukk.

dont know about b-hop but pascal is out of the question for a wile, gym and interbox are to fragile money wise and being they are both based in montreal where boxing is growing like crazy, it would be suicide for one of them after a loss to each other. i think it will happen in about two years.

Pavlik once again claimed he is ready to get serious. With Kessler out for awhile this would be a good time for KP to step into the middle of Kessler's business, and make a fight with Stieglitz. That would say he really is serious.

Stieglitz vs Pavlik would be the best possible fight for Kelly right now - but I doubt it can be made.
