    The PED accusation is nothing new in Boxing. Tyson accused Holyfield of using steroids but it never turned into a circus because Evander didn't have a problem taking a test to prove his innocence. Besides, calling someone a "cheater" isn't any worse than calling someone a "coward." Both terms can be put in the category of: typical locker room trash talk.

    I'm not saying Mayorga, Tyson, and Hopkins have never had criticism thrown at them. Obviously they went through scrutiny at one point or another. But fact remains: Floyd gets a lot more disdain from the media and fans in general compared to other controversial figures in boxing.

    Is he trying to get himself in trouble with the law again? Does he not know of the defamation lawsuit? That guy will say and do ANYTHING to avoid Manny Pacquiao. In some ways boxing will never change.

    It's a matter of degree. Mayorga and Hopkins got some flak but to what extent? Not the same degree as the contempt directed at Floyd. He has perhaps the smallest fanbase for a superstar boxer in the history of the sport.

    You mean a guy that was fighting at 106 lbs when he was 16 years old? Didn't Mayweather say something like he rose up in weight like Pac did, but it came in the amateurs so no one saw it?

    Or a guy who supposedly has huge bone structure for his size, and who may have been malnourished in his youth? That guy can't grow at all?

    Neither are as big as Floyd. Why do you expect EVERYTHYING to be evened out? Boxers do not all act the exact same way. So obviously some boxers will get more flack then other. Not rocket science.

    I know, that's tough to refute.

    Let me know when the reports about Pac's shrunken testicles and secret recordings of Pac's trainer emerge.

    Bonds' big changes came after he was 35 years old, I believe. That's a bit different than how one changes when he is 16 years old to 32 years old, and still conceivably in his physical prime.

    Do you think Bonds may have suffered from malnutrition as a youth? I would doubt that, given his father's profession.

    He really said "young chump".

    Filipino's are known as being "brown" anyway, while Japanese/Chinese/Koreans are known as being "yellow".

    Not that Floyd knows the difference, he thinks Filipinos make Sushi.

    Mayweather has moved up in weight a lot since he was a teenager as well, and he's ripped as hell just like Pacquiao.

    1. Pacquiao has reportedly agreed to full testing, with cutoff dates that apparently his own medical expert or experts, and his team, thought was sufficient. Again, the reason postulated for Mayweather trying to get Pac to take tests all the way up to the fight is that Pac, being superstitious, blames the loss to Morales on drawn blood. Pacquiao appears to have agreed to testing which would essentially eliminate any chance of PED effect. As apparently did Holyfield.

    2. Floyd probably catches more heat because he is perceived as continuing to attack someone he is generally regarded as not wanting to fight. Again, comparing to Mayorga or Hopkins: How much did they keep talking about, say, "white boy" Calzaghe after the fight? I know B-Hop said he didn't like how the fight was scored, but you never heard much "white boy" type remarks after the fight went down.

    Much of the media apparently seems to think that Floyd is saying what he is saying about Pacquiao in order to be able to sell his fans on his supposedly wanting to fight Pac when he doesn't actually want to fight Pac. I could see that bringing an extra level of disdain for a fighter than just talking smack about someone you are set to fight.

    Of course, none of this goes into domestic violence stuff, "yellow chump," etc.

    Tyson was crucified in the media. The whole alleged **** thing? Very, very ugly stuff. Floyd isn't close to that level of nastiness by the media.
