and another thing, pac then was going up in weight to fight mab and now valero is going up in weight to fight pac. you never know. that's why even if pacquiao is a heavy favorite for this one, i would not count valero out.
It isn't a doe deal yet, but I'm pretty sure this is the fight we're seeing for sure though.. A certain someone is gonna' get KTFO and possibly get his fighting license taken back away Pacquiao Murder Valero Man, why'd you have to say that? That is kinda' spooky..
poor hollywood. seriously, i will give valero up to 20% chance of beating pac just because of his power. i know this was already years ago but pac was sparked by power puncher in hussein and almost did not beat the count. it was just recently that pac proved his chin's mettle and none of the mexican greats were great puncher.
Pac does everything Valero does, but better. Still, I love this matchup and and its the second most intriguing fight of the year to me now after Cotto vs Margarito. Anyways, Pac should win. But boxing is a funny thing-- we always talk with such expertise when these are just fantasy matchups that Pac would get rid of this guy. But when the fight is made doubts start to creep into your mind. The Filipino friends I have are the most superstitous people I know, bar none. The stories I hear of ghosts in the Phillipines and **** like that are legendary. I know grown, professional adults who have told me they won't leave the house when visiting family in some provinces at night. So I thought I might screw with you guys a little.
yeah, many pinoys are superstitious especially the older guys and those who are from provinces. we have this called "pamahiin" which are sayings that if we do or not do would lead to good fortune or bad luck. the chinese i understand have them and this beliefs could have originated from them.
Yes, and mix this with the guilt and superstition from the Catholocism that the Spanish brought and its a powerful effect. This sounds like what you are describing with "pamahiin." Maybe thats why Manny crosses himself so many times during the fights.
exactly. dude you sound more pinoy than most pinoys know their heritage. even pelican, another pinoy poster here thinks you are a filipino because of your knowledge of filipino ancient martial arts. can i ask what is your nationality and roots if you don't mind? i guessed then that you are an american of hispanic roots.
Lol thats funny to me, first time I have been told that. I am American and live here part time, and part time in Latin America. The world interests me and I tend to gravitate towards people from different places. I studied filipino martial arts for years and read everything I could get my hands on about it-- and generaly like to read about politics and history (Ferdinand Marcos and his story held my attention at one time). And last, I dated a Filipina girl, and eat the **** out of pancit malabon-- but haven't ever been to the country.
well it certainly clears up. i am glad that an american is interested with pinoy culture when almost all pinoys are embracing american culture. marcos as i know is an intelligent person who aspires big for his country. his projects are quite ambitious for all i know.
