Terrible news. A gentleman, and fought with pride and honour. Gave everything he could for British Boxing.

R.I.P Henry, you will be missed.

He would most likely have won some sort of world belt if things were then as they are now i suppose:good, lets not judge khan on his history eh, at least not here and now:think

Related to Khan and some abuse he has received, i've been learning this evening of Sir Henry Coopers anti-racist work and involvement in the early days of the Anti Nazi League. This would have been at a time when the NF were significant i'd imagine, total legend, sleep well big man.

edited to stick to whats important, the sport has lost a British legend, and i don't use that lightly.

it made me cringe, especially has about two minutes previous they'd explained that "despite never winning a world title, henry was a great boxer".

they are playing it over again now so i'm guessing it's going to get heard a bit, just makes him sound a tit. anyway, r.i.p henry.

I found out via my Missus saying " do you know who Henry Cooper is ? " whilst on her phone on facebook up the pub, " yeah, why?"........

Although I have never taken a massive interest into his career still feel gutted he's gone, strange really.
