Haye just hasn't got it anymore. He was injury prone anyway but now his body has completely broken down.
That is almost like saying Roy Jones Jr or others hasn't done much for the same time frame, why do people like them.
This is seriously unprofessional by Hearn to not line up a standby in case Haye got injured, given Hayes repeated physical breakdowns in camps since 2012 and clear issues with fitness. A lot of us would have liked this show to go on and there were others who could have been on standby. Put a fork in Haye, he is done.
well nobody is going to put Roy Jones or Toney on PPV now are they ?time and again. i have no idea how Haye does it
You can't have a standby for this type of fight. Can you not see that with Joshua the opponent was almost an irrelevance. He alone drew the crowd. Haye and Bellew need each other for the numbers to work here. Who do you want exactly on stand by? The only realistic type would be BJ Flores.
Just watching Sky Sports and they said it is likely to be rescheduled for March or May next year. Apparently Haye hurt his ARM running up stairs in training. I just don't think it's worth it, what will happen is they will reschedule it for March and when Haye breaks down again they will have a replacement on standby and again there will be NO REFUNDS because it will be a "stacked card" . So people will be paying for Bellew Vs Haye and will end up with Bellew Vs Denis Grachev or some rubbish like that.
I don't see the point in rescheduling it either. Haye has form for pulling out of fights and not just once, but 2 times for the same fight. Vitali (who he was suppose to fight many years before he faced Wladmir) , Charr, Fury x2 and now Bellew. Not a good record at all
I guess this just reminds us that the only reason Bellew fought him in the first place is because haye is physically done. I was into the rematch but this just shows that in reality this match up was always a bit of a farce, Bellew only won because Haye is physically shot. A fit Haye would win easily but this will never happen. So for Tony to be upset I'm not so sure, when the very thing he needs is for Haye not to be at his best, he must have had his theorys about Haye getting through camp.
We weren't talking about PPV. Haye is still very popular whether u like it not. He can draw people to see his shows like his comeback fights against nobodies - 15000 ppl at the O2. None title fight with chisora 30000 at West ham. Good luck to them if the casuals are willing to fork out for PPV.
put bellew in with big pricey (they can create a broken friendship due to rivalry over who's the no 1 scouse heavyweight wwe storyline) or fraudley. it would be worth it for the lols.
