Kevin Johnson sucks. Plain and simple. Lazy, out of shape, no punch, no workrate.

He brings an undefeated record, that's it.

I'd prefer even a guy like Monte Barrett over Johnson.

David Haye claimed he was going to fight a top 10 HW. How is Kevin Johnson a top 10 Heavyweight when he has never fought a top 100 Heavyweight? What a joke. Haye bullshited all of his fans for months, if he takes this fight.

Johnson reminds me of Jason Estrada. A fat guy with a good jab and no power. He likes to keep his hands down and he gets hit by punches.

Rahman always has that one punch power.

He may be hasbeen Rahman but he can hit like a mule and Haye's handlers would be silly to throw him in against the always unpredictable Rahman.

Yeah, Rahman can punch and Haye has the worst chin around. Haye is a coward if he takes this fight after talking all this **** for months non-stop and fights a chump like Kevin Johnson.

Haye is scared. I think Haye knows how easily he can become a higlight reel knock out victim at Heavyweight with his horrible chin, even against James Toney who is not a Heavyweight puncher.

So now Haye is interested in fighting Johnson all over sudden? I don't buy this and I wouldn't be surprised, now that Toney is in talk with Harrison, if Rahman too, rises the stakes by throwing another name in. I may be mistaken but it seems to me like there are some serious negotiations going on behind the scenes...

I wonder how much Khans KO has to do with Haye picking this opponent. Last thing he needs after shooting his mouth off is to be floored and beaten in his first HW fight

So that´s whats left of David "Blabla" Haye. He want´s to fight the best of the best of all the HW "bums" :D

Johnson is not a bad choice for a Cruiser just having moved up to HW, but Haye promised more than that..... ;)

A somewhat safe choice for Haye. A jabber with a mediocre work rate and no major competition on his record. On paper Johnson would seem to be tailor made for Haye. I could see Haye throwing his looping rights over one of Johnson's jabs.

Plus Johnson is about the same size as Haye at 6' 3" although he's pudged up to 240 and should be at Haye's weight of around 230. He does have a sizable reach advantage over Haye though.

The problems Johnson poses is he can go the distance and if he can get Haye into the latter rounds he might have a shot. He has to be very careful of throwing any lazy jabs.

In retrospect if you watch the Terry Smith fight and read the reports about the Seldon fight this actually seems like a pretty safe fight for Haye.

NFW. Rahman at least has a puncher's chance. Johnson has none. Haye's weak point is his chin, and the only dangerous first fight would be against someone who can punch.

Sadly, if this is true, it signals to me that he won't face any punchers until he gets a shot at Wlad.

I think it has A LOT to do with it. Haye like Khan has a Glass Jaw. If they are picking Johnson (who is not even close to a top 10 Heavyweight and he has not beat a top 40 Heavyweight) it is to protect that Glass Jaw from another disaster like what happened to Khan. I doubt we will see Mr. Haye fight a true puncher at Heavyweight until he gets his Wlad fight if he even makes it that far. This is a total farce.
