Hey guys, I was just wondering which was more benefical doing more reps at one time, or spreading it out through the day?

ex. more at one time- 300 situps, 200 pushups

    ex. more spaced out - 150 of each at 10:00, 1:00, 3:00, 5:00

Well after much thought i have come up with a workout that i'm gonna try for the first time tomorrow. Please let me know if you have any improvements or criticism for it.

    5:30am - morning jog 2.5 -3 miles

    6:00am - 250 sit-ups, 150 push-ups, 20 pull-ups, and 40 dips.

    10:00am - 150 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, 10 pull-ups, and 20 dips.

    1:30pm - Bagwork, some shadowboxing, 100 sit-ups, 50 push-ups, 10 pull-ups, and 20 dips.

    4:00pm - 150 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, 10 pull-ups, and 20 dips

    6:00pm - 150 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, 10 pull-ups, and 20 dips

    7:00pm - swim

P.S. do you think all the repeats of sit-ups, push-ups are overkill?

man that would be great if u can do that. i don't really think it will be an overkill if u can handle it. personally, i would definitely ASSASINATE me, but's that's me. it will build endurance, that's one thing for sure. good luck w/ whatever results u r looking forward to

Thanks for the advice guys, i'm going to do this workout 5 days a week and use the weekends to recover. Also does it help if you cut the numbers and do them in three circuits or keep it at 1 circuit with the full amount?

yep, thats exactly what i meant

    EX: 50-pushups then move directly to 75-situps, 10-pullups, 20-dips
and do that 3 times. Instead of doing them 1 exercise at a time for the the whole amount.

    Nice workout :good

I think you've got a better chance of maintaining constant intensity if you break the sets up like you've described above.

    Good work out.
I used to do mega sets of situps, chinups and dips myself.
However --- not on days when I was training at the boxing gym.
