1-5 saunders 6 eubank jr 7 saunders 8 eubank jr 9 saunders 10 saunders 11 eubank jr 12 eubank jr if u actually look at who landed the cleaner punches, you would realise saunders actually won it a clear distance. the first half of the fight, eubank was made to look amauterish and although he came on better in the 2nd half, he didnt land consistently hard punches, he needed a few 10-8 rounds to win. he landed uppercuts a few decent right hands, but is that enough to win a round, when the majority of the time your eating jabs? some people like different things during a fight, some fans like aggression and big huge punches, i do too (kovalev fan), if you can land effectively and regularly, if you cant then your losing the rounds, eubank was backing him up only because BJS had the fight won and was still landing the cleaner punches. For me it wasnt a close scoring fight, it was a close fight, but the scorecards were silly, far too close, saunders won by 8-4. So i ask you too watch it neutrally then honestly tell me how eubank jr won that fight, if you can build a good case. then please state it here. Also i would like too see a rematch, but not now, Saunders should be allowed to fight andy lee, and if he wins that won. Eubank jr needs another 5 decent fights to get in contention, spike o'sullivan, ryder, top europeans etc.
Terrible scoring watch it with your eye's open next time or atleast put your glasses on. 1/2 were terrible rounds but easy to score for bjs. Round 3 was really a pickem round in fact Eubank out landed bjs by 4 punches but arguably bjs landed the better punches. I gave it to eubank Round 4 was again razor close I had 10-10 eubank was pushing the action but bjs did some good things as well. Round 5 was pretty similar but I liked bjs's work better. Round 6 was a clear eubank round this was the most one sided round of the fight Round 7/8 were both eubank rounds he pressed the action did the most damage and landed the heavier shots. They weren't one sided but easy to score Round 9 Bjs round he was throwing more in this round he must have realised the fight was closing up. Still a pickem round but it liked his work better Round 10 Bjs round he looked like he was taking over again in this round until the last 40 seconds where eubank started getting stuck in and hurt him. Even though Eubank did the most damage id still give the round to bjs Round 11 I give to eubank on work rate it was an ugly round with not many punches landing. Round 12 was another dominant round for eubank 115-114 Eubank jr:bbb

Both were pretty gleeful with their results as well. Both acting as if it were clear and decisive victories. Barry Jones and his side kick even noted during the fight how close 3 and 4 were. IB said 10 was a close saunders round. 115-113 if you swap 1 pickem round it becomes a draw. Decisive is a joke, a split decison ok, but if it went to Eubank jr it wasn't a robbery by any means
I had it as a draw, but felt inexperience cost Jr. as, to coin a phrase, he didn't go out there and 'rip the titles off the champion'. He game plan in rounds 1 thru 6 was terrible and I think he might have frozen slightly. It's a fight that came 12 months and one medium sized fight too early, different result next time.
It was a close fight but I had first 4 to saunders, a share of the 5th, 6,7 and 8 to Eubank, share of the 9th, 10,11 and 12 to Eubank. I had Eubank winning but you could have made a case for anyone winning the fight it was just a case of what you like really.
Saunders did not win the ninth round. The only rounds through the second half that he genuinely had a case for winning were the seventh and the tenth. He'd never make it an easy nights work over a twelve round distance. Doesn't carry the firepower, possess the physical strength or the conditioning to make things easier.
Honestly thought it could have went either way. But then again i had shawn porter beating brook. I think the commentry plays a huge part in how people score some of these fights or favouritsm. Sometimes you just see what you want to see. Remember watching groves v froch 1 and being convinced it was absolutely one way traffic but on second watch. Froch actually did some decent work. Same with the second commentary balanced in froch favour instead when it was a close fight up until the ending.
I had Eubank winning by 1 round, and people should remember Barry Jones is on BJS promoters pay roll as well. As long as he is not on his cheque roll he should be ok lol
James5000 doesn't have a clue how to score a fight, he scores fights based on who has the bigger muscles. Eubank didn't land as much as anyone as saying, even when you thought he was getting better, Saunders was landing the cleaner shots and making eubank miss a whole lot. Watch it again and Then again, take the eubank poster off your wall, stop playing simply the best in the background. His son got schooled by billy joe Saunders.
