very good at predicting who'd win out of jack johnson and jack dempsey or doing a pre-war middleweight p4p h2h top 25 but seem to find it hard to give credit where its due for a superfight that may have only happened last week.
where's the praise for a man who can bang away expertly at a 2 inch cut for round after round or manage to make an ATG, shot or not feel afraid to throw a punch ?
it was only on saturday .

Tarver, a lesser fighter than Calzaghe, already made Jones scared to throw a punch.

Beating a shot fighter like Jones is no special achievement.

Calzaghe's had much more meaningful wins, like Kessler for instance, than beating this version of Jones.

As bad as Calzaghe looked against Hopkins, that win was more meaningful to. Hopkins is still a top fighter. Jones has done nothing of note since 2003 and has looked shitty since then.

jones was done. beating him was nothing special, considering he was destroyed 4 years ago by tarver and johson. joe gets minimal praise for that fight. the most he can be lauded for, is shutting out a faded fighter like an elite fighter should. he was showered with praise when he beat kessler last year. i'll go further and say that the diaz that was in there against pacman, was a more dangerous fighter that never stopped trying to win, compared to the rjj calzghe fought. pacquiao gets none to very little praise for destroying him in every single round.
