Barrett definitely deserved a UD, especially after his KD of Tua in round 12.

He had a lot of legal wranglings with his promoter hence why he spent a large chunk of last decade inactive. And Show some ****ing respect. Barrett is NOT a can. He's top quality journeyman who has been in with some of the best guys at his weight. Considering he could probably make 200lbs id say he;s had a fantastic career.

 

Tua would be a good tune up fight for SNV, right before he destroys Vitali.

 

Respect to Barrett. Always was in shape and always gave 100% in his fights..... and IMO beat Tua last night.

I love how people call good fighters cans because they have lost a few against good opposition - yet lick the balls of someone that might be unbeaten or only have the odd loss but not fought anybody.

He's only been in with Wlad, Valuev, Haye, Solis, Tua and Rahman.

Barrett was a good fighter for alot of years, good to see him finishing with a bit of dignity, not getting flattened like so many once respectable veterans. It was a sad sight seeing Danny Williams looking like a complete mug and getting beat in 2 rounds earlier this year. Respect is due.

Hopefully this'll also quieten the Tua fanatics and their ridiculous ideas about him being a viable challanger to one of the Klitschkos down a bit aswell.

 

Thanks for all your efforts, Monte. You were a very good boxer, and by all accounts a decent guy. Good luck to you in whatever you do from here on in.
