So, I am really looking forward to the Haye V. Fury match-up, I think it is going to be the first really entertaining HW bout in awhile.

I am not particularly a fan of either Haye, nor Fury.

I think haye has good skill, but is a wimp (and thats an upgrade from how I felt immediately after his match with Wlad... "my toe, my toe") and his stamina is amateurish.

I think Fury is entertaining and is full of heart, but he is sloppy, his ring smarts have not yet developed IMO, and for lack of a better word, he is gangly.

Now, I refuse to take a position on this fight because honestly I think this one can go either way. I don't believe the overhand right will play a role in this fight, I think Peter will have that problem solved. I also believe that Fury wont come out as wild in this one, so that's a plus for him.

However, Haye has more than an overhand right, and also has the ring smarts to implement those other punches in good fashion, so anything can happen at anytime.

Enough about my opinion, onto the question.

If fury wins the bout, will you bolster him more respect (or some respect if you don't have any for him at the moment)?

    If so why?

I liked the interview Peter Fury gave seems a nice humble guy, Tyson Fury goes full ****** at times but he is funny he's young enough to recover from his loss and gain lots of big fight experience

If Fury beats the guy that demoilshed Chisora? Sure, we'll all have to eat crow & give him respect.

    - But that's simply not going to happen. The best he can hope for is to fall on Haye, or use an illegal arm as he did against Cunningham. - but Haye is too fast & elusive to get caught by such caveman tactics.

I just can't see Fury beating Haye. If he boxes or brawls either way he gets beat, Haye is just the better fighter.

But if Fury somehow beats Haye then he deserves everyone's respect for believing in himself when pretty much everyone has Haye as the big favourite. It would make Fury a legitimate top contender.

    I give the guy respect.

For one he's taking on the best test compared to his peers.

Wilder still hasn't faced a live body, Mitchell hasn't, and Price has been unable to overcome Thompson.

    Even if it ends up like most expect (Haye stopping him), I do have respect for him for;
    a) taking such a bad style matchup and jump in quality.
    b) fighting in a actual exciting style, not just on paper.

I hope he pulls it off, and end the haype once and for all, but I can't see it.

he needs some cold water on his head, like a beating from Pulev or getting KTFO'd by Haye or Wlad to humble up

Mitchell did step up fight by fight and Banks is probably top 20/25 in the HW scene.

Haters said Fury would have never fought Chisora. He did.
Haters said Fury would have never won the unbeaten prospect Chisora. He did.
Haters said Chisora win was meaningless right after Fury beated him.
And that was two years ago.
I don't particularly like Fury, because he is the stereotype of how studipidly a fighter must act to considered by ameritards.
However, he alredy has 10 times the respect haye deserves.
Just consider where haye was at the age of 24, and if he would have ever entered the ring against anyone wortwile.
By the way, Fury may even lost against haye now, but a 30 years old Fury would toy with haye all around the ring.

Fury looked very nervous on Ringside yesterday. Fury's gonna get KO'd.

I thought he was funny, he always gets that tongue tied thing when he gets over excited.

My point was that he at least stepped up and fought credible opponents.
