This guy fought GGG and Spence back to back. And eventually fought Crawford. That's GGG, Spence and Crawford in a span of 6 fights. This is old school. There are many very good fighters in history that took on the greats that lost in spirited efforts and you don't even know of them. In an era where fighters are being told to take safe fights, Brook decided to take on the best and held his own in each of these 3 fights for a period of time. Yes you can say he was mis-managed but shouldn't the competitive spirit be acknowledged. He wasn't better that any one of those guys but he wasn't far behind and it showed. Salute to you , Kell Brook. Hopefully you get on last payday against the likes of Pacquiao or Khan and retire, you deserve it.
Can’t question Kell Brook’s guts. Real shame the GGG fight damaged him so badly. He was a great fighter at one point.
Could have been great at 154lbs too. He stuck around too long at Welterweight hoping for the Khan fight. Such a shame really, he wasted the best years of his career.
Over the course of 7 years. That ain't old school. Old school is over the course of 7 months or even 7 weeks!
Thing is their careers would be finished a lot sooner, longevity imo is cause they hardly fight now lol
He was willing to fight the tough opponents. It's a shame the prime years of his pro career were largely wasted on fighting nobodies.
We see it all the time. Over 7 years its nothing special. Shame he didn't take these big fights after Porter when he was hot product.
He should never have got in with Golovkin, him his corner and promotor were playing boxing taking on the middleweight king. Maybe the only fight in recent memory between to elite talents that I seen zero chance of him winning. They went in to have a go but knew he couldn’t win..it’s bad man
People didn’t want to fight him apart from huge balls Porter, not scared of him but they weren’t keen imo
