Speshil K used to be what we callt my cousin Kenny. He needed 2 wear a football helmet to use the turlet.
Yes, it was a big mistake fighting Golovkin. Big time props to Kell. I hope he has enough in the bank now.
Shouldn't have fought GGG, but I don't think his career would have been massively that different. Still loses to both Spence and Crawford, or old Pacman. He's a bit like Thurman, very good athlete but boxing skill and IQ a notch below. The difference is, those fighters can go up a level or 2 when it is required.
I thought Kell looked very good when he entered the ring, he was quick, boxed excellently , and he was in sharp condition. But you could sense Bud wanted to plant one on his chin to test him out. His resistance was gone, for whatever reason when a guy gets ko'ed sometimes or suffers a serious face injury they're never the same. John Tate, Roy Jones, John Mugabi etc.
Just what happens when a 33-year-old who was barely making 147 when he was >30 and even had to take PEDS to lean out to silly levels suddenly makes 147 for the first time in years by draining down. Errol Spence won't be at 147 when he is 33. I'd say he is also close to not making that weight. Meanwhile Crawford will retire there.
Brook is overrated. I scored his fight with Porter a draw. I've no problem with his getting the decision, i'm ok with that. But rating Brook as some world beater because he got his head staved in by every world-class fighter he met except for Porter, who he went 50-50 with by my eye. He did what everyone does against Brook - went there or thereabouts in the early rounds and then got ****ed up after that. He's a legitimately ranked contender, but no more.
Fighting three p4p fighters at different weights in seven weeks or seven months yes that’s been done many times
He dared to be great jumping up and fighting GGG. He took a gamble and it didnt work, but at he should get respect for taking a chance. Shame about the injury he suffered in that fight.
