Agree with both the points, I just think to say that there is no evidence to suggest the rematch would be any different is a bridge too far. There is a lot that can be changed and worked on for the rematch. Also the venue and the factors outside the ring will also be in AJs favour.
I personally don't think ruiz has A.Js no. I do think A.j had an off night. He just didn't seem there mentally, even leading into the fight I was getting a feeling A.J was off. I even said to one of the lads in the gym, with the USA side been a whole new ball game to a.j it might take something out of him. I told him that a ruiz stoppage was a good possibility if a.j hadn't handled all the mental side correctly. Then on fight night, a.j didn't seem right. If the rematch was here in the u.k I'm confident a.j would beat him. If it was n the USA I wouldn't be quite as confident.
As many of us pointed out well over 1 year ago on here, Tony Dosh PPV had a CV full of puddings and only had one proper test against a 41 year old man who had been out of the ring for 18 months. Setting the Matchroom tripe aside, Tony Dosh PPV has failed to clean out the puddings never mind beat any elite fighter in their prime in a division which has been rotten for years. I give you the heavyweight version of Kell Brook - both classed by Eh Day as PPV fighters without either being elite.
He was criminally overrated by sky and the casuals. Surprised so many proper boxing fans fell for the hype too.
