The early rounds has quite a bit of counterpunching. Then, they went all out, swinging. But in the late rounds, for significant periods, they were still counterpunching. They both missed a lot in doing so, but it wasn't just two blokes brawling the entire time.

Respect to both men. They're both tough and fought with heart and pride. It wasn't the most skilled fight in the world, but it was a crowd-pleasing brawl and they gave their all. Good for the sport.

    Thanks, thread starter! :good:happy

I am not so sure about this fight anymore. If Froch can get that jab working properly for 12 full rounds, and if he is more active and a bit less sloppy, he can win a decision.

    Great post!

Mad respect to both. Kessler won by being more active and connecting alot more than Froch although Froch had his hits - which always looks powerfull.

I do think that Kessler landed the best punch in the fight, when he hit Froch right on the chin and Froch wobbled a bit. That was the closest to a KD.

But mad, mad props to both fighters. And crazy that Kessler decided to get toe to toe with Froch. I mean - that is normally a way to loose against the great Brit.

I had it the same.... wow what an action-packed fight!

both fighters showed huge chin and hart, and I just can't believe how they stayed on
their feets for 12 highly intertaining rounds!?!?

a clear candidate for fight of the year, and round of the year (with round 12!)

I always feel with the loser after such a close and hard fight.
kessler couldn't have boxed one round more and Carl pushed him to the absolut limit...

I'm not going to sleep tonight...

Kessler had more desire, it took balls of steel to back froch up like that. He switched from technician to brawler, threw and took some good shots. Fought his heart out. I like carl but Kessler won that fight. Agree with thread starter 115 - 113

I feel the same. I thought Carl had too little defense for Abraham, but although I had Kessler winning a 116-112 fight - Carl positively surprised me tonight.

I am leaning towards Froch now against Abraham. But it will sure be a battle.

Me neither. That fight was a pure adrenaline fix.
Kessler bounced right back, and proved his critics wrong. What a fight!!!:bbb

Laudrup, as usual you post one sided biased crap about the ONLY Danish boxer of note.Froch was clearly the bigger puncher.Froch never looked like going down,Kessler was on ***** street more than once and lucjky there wasn't a 13th round.
