this was predictable from the start. i guess this is how legends are made. sure there was a chance that cotto could be on the shitty end of an upset but i doubted it. cotto is my boy.
Jennings is better than I expected. I was impressed with has ability to break things p by clinching, and when he went down he immediately looked to his corner and gave a nod, like "I'm okay." I'd love to see him on FNF or Versus against guys in his own class.
Jennings was a regional fighter at best, would have topped out as state champion in some backwater US state.
Jennings has nowt to be ashamed of , I hoped he was going to catch Cotto a bit gun shy and be able to outfox but it wasnt to be. But to call him a bum is to show no class and no appreciation of what boxing is about !
I was thinking the exact same thing...his body frame was VERY small...I thought he should've been in the 140 division. I think he would've fared well against guys like Malignaggi, Ngoudjo, possibly Holt... I was incredibly surprised how fast he was...in the first two rounds i was thinking...****...this might be a long night. He was smart about clinching. Popped a one-two combo. Stayed off the ropes okay enough. Showed some good movement. I think he might be a great test for a guy like Collazo or Berto. And if he wins. Well holy ****...really shows you his worth
he's british and commonwealth title level, everyone knew that, the kid has skills yes and im glad he didnt come out too battered
If he fought like Lockett the fight would have been over just as quick. Jenning's came to survive and that's the only reason he lasted as long as he did.
Respect for him lasting 5 rounds. He seems like a nice guy so I hope he isn't ruined from this beat down, but had no business except business fighting Cotto.
Jennings is an above average fighter. Good skills, and heart but he went up against Elite competation and that is what happens.
i always knew jenning was a decent boxer but never thought he would compete at top level. hats off to him he did better than i thought. better than those yanky contender series bums who are U.S. equivalent.
