I was expecting Margarito to take a beating, but boy, the guy really showed heart against Pac last night.

Even after a brutal 4th round, he came back and was applying pressure in the 6th. It was the complete opposite to that joke of a 'boxer' Fraudley Harrison.

Respect to Marg - the guy lost but he put up one hell of a fight against an opponent that was just too quick and too versatile (pac threw punches from crazy angles).

Shame on Marg's corner. Shame on the ref.

I think after last night's performance, if Margarito hasn't become "shot" after the beating he took- he'd give anyone at 147-154 a serious run for their money.

That orbital bone fracture made a difference, visibly in the 4th round Margarito looked more ponderous when he started to get caught clean on the bruising.

He has a great heart, but i have a feeling we have seen the last of a truly dangerous Margarito. I think his face may have the same battle weariness Israel Vazquez' had after consecutive wars with Marquez.

    True.

I respect him as a fighter and his warrior mentality.

I'd like to see him re-match Mosley now.

  11. but none of u ***gots said anything about mosley when he admitted he had used peds which can be just as dangerous. y all are scum... margarito's the definition of a warrior. i think he should reitre now. he's taken too many beatings, been in too many wars. he already has brain damage. he should stop before it gets severe a la taylor.

The dude was 165, he was clearly the bigger guy. He used that as an advantage. If anything his beatdown from Manny has raise more questions than his bravery. He took a beatdown just like Cotto, the only difference Cotto didn't really outweight or wasnt really the bigger guy and force to fight at lower weight. Margarito had his advantages and almost got swept in all the rounds. I can't be proud of that if I was one of his fans.
