I never understood the hate for the guy. I don't care about how he got to where he is. He is generally honest, has good insight, and is clearly a big fan of the sport. I understand your never going to make everyone happy but I don't understand what he did to make so many people hate him. I guess it's just me tho.

He put Khan on blast. He said he would like to see Bradley and Alexander fight for 140 supremecy. He went on to say that Khan, while very talented, is clearly being protected. Bob Papa tried to defend Khan by saying that he's at a different point in his career than Bradley or Alexander. Kellerman responded by saying that Khan has a belt and is the same age as Alexander.

I loved how he got no response from that.

HBO, during the Bradley/Abregu fight. After the fight, he also called out TR and GBP for for trying to create quasi leagues by doing mostly in-house fights, which has lead to crap fights like Pacquiao/Clottey.

There was nothing Papa could say. Khan and Alexander are the same age, have about the same amount of fights, and both are beltholders. They are both at basically the same point in their careers. However, one is being protected and the other one is willing to fght anyone. Everyone shits on Don King, but he's known for putting together stacked cards, and he doesn't protect his fighters. GBP has clearly overpaid for Khan and now they have to carfeully match him in order to protect their investment.

Well, don king isn't **** on for the fights he makes per say, it's the way he uses up fighters.

He actually does a good job of signing a lot of fights, because he likes big business and having a stable of stars he can pimp.

Khan should definitely come out and fight a top guy soon.

  11. You guys are much too hard on me. It's not easy to do what I do.

All promoters use up their fighters. Relatively speaking, King is not too bad in this area. King was actually sued for 10's of millions by Lennox Lewis because King talked Tyson out of rematching Lewis. I think DiBella is the best promoter in terms of how he treats his fighters. King isn't on that level, but he's not the worst either.

From what your telling me. I think they're both right.
Kahn is an outstanding talent, but he is being protected from boxers who can punch. Were talking about a guy who has the potiontional to be the best curently in the sport down the road. It takes more than talent and skills. He has to take risks to get there.
Alexander at this point in his career is slightly further ahead than Kahn, but not by much. He has fought for and won two championship belts while Kahn only one. He also has more experance fighting away from home than Kahn dose.

  14. Why didn't GBP protect Juan Diaz? They just threw him to the ****ing wolves.
