Yeah, had the pleasure of exchanging some thoughts with this good man. I can still recall how amazed he was at Pac's speed first time he witnessed it live. RIP, JG.
Classy dude. A breath of fresh air during the dark days of literally every thread being Pac Mayweather arguments. RIP Mr Rein..
He had some of the best stories of LaMotta, Robinson, movie stars of the golden era, etc you wouldnt believe. Knowledgeable, humble guy, I think he was in the commercial biz, wasn't he? Old school kinda guy, always respected on this site. I remember reading about a rumour about my idol, Charles Bronson, and he corrected me on it, what really went down. You'll be dearly missed, JG!
JG was once a ******* nemesis, but rest in peace JG, you'll be missed... wait, is this breaking news to esb?
He seemed like a really interesting guy that lived a full life and he'll definitely be missed. If there is a poster on this site that knew more about Boxing in the 40's and 50's, I'd be shocked. R.I.P.
I haven't heard of this... Damn that's definitely sad/terrible news. He was a solid poster with creative and always interesting threads. Rest in peace friend.
Loved his real-life stories about boxers from the past. Didn't know he passed away last year. Cancer is the son of the devil. RIP John
Here was the thread that was created at the time of his passing. http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=492185 He's still missed badly here.
RIP JG. he died a while ago actually there were posts on this when it happened. i actually thought about him today while i was working. when he passed i think this forum went even further downhill
