    The results are in for the first round of the 140 pound tournament. Here they are below:



    Jose Napoles vs. Vince Phillips: 16 votes to 0 in favour of Napoles
    Meldrick Taylor vs. Esteban DeJesus: 10 votes to 6 in favour of Taylor
    Aaron Pryor vs. Beau Jack: 9.5 votes to 4 in favour of Pryor
    Packey McFalrand vs. Julio Cesar Chavez: 7 votes to 4 with 1 draw in favour of Chavez

    Nicolino Locche vs. Tippy Larkin: 4 votes to 1 in favour of Locche
    Duilio Loi vs. Ike Williams: 8 votes to 2 in favour of Williams
    Antonio Cervantes vs. Jackie Kid Berg: 5 votes to 0 and 1 draw in favour of Cervantes
    Tony Canzoneri vs. Ricky Hatton: 9.5 votes to 5 in favour of Canzoneri

    Barney Ross vs. Eddie Perkins: 3 votes to 2 in favour of Ross
    Wilfred Benitez vs. Benny Leonard: 6 votes to 3 in favour of Benitez
    Billy Graham vs. Carlos Hernandez: 3 votes to 0 in favour of Graham

    Hopefully we get some better participation for the second round because it was rather **** poor in the first round, though the opinions shared were appreciated.

    You have clearly put a lot of effort into this, but I just cannot get motivated when I see the likes of a Jose Napoles or Benny Leonard in a 140lbs tournament.

    That just seems wrong.

    Well, Benny's already gone, and I think Taylor is going to chop up Napoles' delicate skin this round, so hopefully you regain your motivation soon. :good

    For sure. I wouldn't be surprised no matter who came out on top in these match-ups.

    Im much more familiar with the names that are left. Really didnt think I had any place talking about fighters I dont know enough about.

    I guess you are trying to put an original spin on a tried and tested formula and I will make the effort in the second round.

    I agree with the first two clearly, you were mixed up as far as the last matchup was concerned.

    I'll likely participate more this round as well. I was aware and well versed on most of the fighters in terms of their careers and resumes, but not on all of them in terms of substantial footage viewed.
