i'm going to start this workout that was posted a few days ago http://www.pytlik.com/escape/navyseals2.html what results can i expect from this routine? is it worth adding a strength day into the workout as i dont want to loose any mass with all the high reps..advice appreciated thanks
Well your cardio system will be pretty kickass and your muscular endurance will be too. Umm...don't expect too much in leg strength but like I said your legs won't fail you. Don't add a strength day, it'll come back to bite you in the ass later as the workouts get more and more brutal. Your nutrition will need to be top notch with LOTS of good carbs, complete proteins and essential fatty acids. Veggies will need to be your friends as all that exercise will probably start to depress your immune system if you're not properly fed. I did the first 9 weeks and lost some muscle but I lost my explosiveness and power while doing this. Remember, the NAVY SEALS workout is designed for what they do. I hope you're not doing this for boxing as there really isn't much by way of anaerobic work. You'll be one aerobically fit son of a gun after it though.
The navy must had a large amount of injuries on the third week of training if they cut out running for that week. I bet that portion is for people that aren't use to running that hard.
