The fight was close and it could have gone either way after the 11th round, but I thought Marquez got the last round. JMM won by a point. But could have the judges based the decision through good impression showing of who was the challenger and the champion? Well if I were one of the judges I might think Pac did well in challenging Marquez by flooring and wobbling the champion, the belt holder who I would thought trying to survive every round. If this match up was too close to call, who would you raise the hand as a winner?
BULL****:yep Marquez was never able to sustain momentum. The pendulum swung back and forth and a little more on PAC's side. The KD and difference in power held sway in a close fight. DREAM ON WITH THAT 8-4 ****:-( Thats utterly ridiculous and ficticious:good SAD BUT TRUE STORY:hey
DLH vs Sturm( for a clearer case)... and still DLH fights sells like hotcakes! it wont turn them away, it actually creates interest.
You know, a draw is usually not a popular verdict because people want winners but i would have liked one here. No one would have cried robbery or controversy, and people would have focussed more on appreciating a thrilling fight between 2 of the best in the game. On the other hand, boxing fans always find a way to ***** about a verdict when a fight goes the distance. In a mild way, i'm doing it here myself. Still, i would just like to see more appreciating and less bitching in the boxing world, in general.
i for one thought it was a robbery...but seeing the fight again, well i guess the judges where at a vantage point to see fight more clearly unlike the people who watch in on tv...could have gone either way me thinks but i felt jmm won that one...
the fans who get turned away from boxing after yesterday's fight are immature sore losers and nothing else because it was a great fight and the decision was fair though controversial.
Bullsh*t! Its fights LIKE these that bring in fans! Good FIGHTS help the sport--who won and who lost [the decision] aren't the point; BOTH fighters won, in the sense that they'll get even BIGGER paydays down the road from this excellent performance! You wanna know what turns people off? Sh*t like PBF-DLH, a $60 ppv with NO action, NO chances taken, and NO decisive winner of an exceedingly boring fight, and to top it off...a whole ******ed load of stupid "24" promo nonesense; it is telling when the LEAD-UP to a fight is more exciting than the fight, ITSELF.
STFU. You find it boreing then don't watch. Sure as hell don't comment on it. Apparently it is interesting enough that you had to comment. As for the original poster, fight like this is what boxing fan look for. Two evenly match fighter ina back a fourth fight. This was a fight of beauty. People who watched the fight with me is asking when is the next big fight that will have two guys like them fighting. In such an evenly match fight there will always be one side screaming robbery when it was not.
who ever started this thread **** off then boxing dont need arses like you about go and support ****in man utd cause that would be right up your street. cause they havent got a ****in clue either!!
So exciting fights and close decisions that could go to either fighter turns fans away from boxing ehhh? Thank God for guys like Andre Dirrell, Cory Spinks and John Ruiz then.
