Duran beat very good fighters, but that one over SRL tops everything in Pacquiao's. Pacquiao would have to beat Floyd and then Martinez/Williams winner to get credit and let's be real Floyd is not Leonard, but Martinez/Williams could be comparable to an Iran Barkley. But Pacman or Floyd follow that formula then they could be comparable to a Leonard or Duran. To be great you gotta beat the greats. The hype is blinding too many people here it's pretty sad. Then the *****s or *******s and others start accusing with the "nostalgic" bull**** and act like Manny, Floyd, and the Klits just to name a few are the only great fighters that ever existed. Then when they fight someone real their fans will get a rude awakening. I have seen this so many times and can only laugh about it and say I told you so.
I did not make anything up. Fact is Duran got in the ring with better fighters than Pac win or loss. And at 135 Duran is the best ever!!! Pac is great but he can be beat.
duran is top 10. pac is not yet there. if he defeats williams/martinez and pbf, he'll be ahead of duran.
To me duran barkely was very close, like kessler-froch kind of close but still duran edged it, just like how he edged leonard 1. But dont bring size differences the discussion, i think Duran-barkely height difference was about the same as pac-margarito. Also the size was much closer then in the pac-marg fight. Not saying durans win wasnt better though, it obviously was.
duran big fights are real big fights.. tell me what big fight that floyd has been in compares to durans :hat

Duran fought the greater guys, but Manny has the much better wins. No one can say Duran has the wins that Manny has. Beating Ray one time when Ray fought his fight, then losing the next two easily does not compare to Manny's resume of wins. But who they fought I think Duran has the edge. But no way in wins does he compare even close.
I voted Duran because I feel that if they both fought at their primes at a decent weight (LW or LWW) Duran would win, possibly by TKO.
Duran had fought at middleweight or near it for years and weighed in at times near 240, so 160 was not that small for him. And Duran's style was to fight on the inside, and Barkley's style was perfect for him. When I heard Duran and Barkley signed to fight, I knew Duran would win that fight. I knew it. Barkley's only claim to fame was beating the great Hearns, and that made people think that he was somehow on this high level. Later he got to the higher level once he started fighting Hearns,Nunn,Duran,Benn, etc. But when Duran fought him, he was still one or two fights away from ESPN level. Duran had Barkley's number, but Duran never beat a great past 1980, and this was 1989.
I saw Duran's fights and I love Duran's fighting, but it was obvious how he would fight mediocre guys and win like Moore and Barkley, and fight Benitez,Leonard,Hearns and lose. Manny is more versatile than Duran was. Duran fought greater guys but Manny's record beating guys is better. He beat greats. Duran lacks in that department, which I am not sure why people do not see it. The facts are there.
Duran. If you make a list of who they fought versus "who-they-could-have-fought-but-didn't" it's not even close. The same goes for Mayweather. The four kings had more balls than this entire generation combined.
