Resume is more important than "skills" or "H2H ability". And it's not remotely close.

I think the details of a fight are included when evaluating resumes, not just the names.

 

He actually cited an example that relates to brook vs Spence in his stance to explain why resume is most important. He didn't say anything about predicting fights.

I'm not even sure how people can confidently rate "h2h ability" until they've seen the fighter in with top quality opponents.

 

I agree with this but for someone like Loma who some people seem to have a fit when he's rated top 3, he's fought enough quality opposition in this era to be ranked that high. Seriously besides Ward, who have active fighters beat? I guess you can put Canelo also pretty high up there just based off resume.

 

resume is a huge. some times you gotta use your best judgement.

Resume isnt a skill set. Just cause you dominated in your era doesnt mean you would have in others.Resumes can look better than what they are too...its who you fought AND how you won combined. Its not complicated at all too see if fighter A can defeat fighter c if you put logic together,specially in an age with so much vid footage available.

Resume is important for lableing a fighter ,that doesnt give a badge of invincibility to another fighter in another era though...reality doesnt work that way,only in the boxing world where somehow ATG status became a skill? . lol

still don't understand how SRR managed to fight on weekly basis and many times against top ranked opponents. Winning them all but one,and revenging that lose like millions times.sure SRR was businessman. sure nowadays boxers are smart of taking care of themselfs. but hell SRR got some humongous balls and skills. Never we are going to see somebody with balls and skills of SRR.

SRR turns in his grave listening that some lunatic believes he has surpassed SRR resume. Nowadays these lunatics fight once a year against handpicked contender. And once in 3-5years against true number 1 contender. SRR proved his greatness every month. Modern warriors one to three time a max. Usually max 2 when you are estabilished enough.

 

WRONG AGAIN.....you tool...ATG skills are not the only thing needed to become a champion ,what is are skills/character /competent trainer and sometimes even luck or weak era where ones skills are superior to the rest......it all depends on your own era....Great skills don't guarantee you become a champion or ATG either since there can only be a select few guys who dominate and a fighter with great skills can still lose cant he? What a dope you are....again fool know your sport. lol

ATG status is just merely how one fared in THEIR era or if they had a great impact on the sport itself,it has nothing to do with just skills .

 

Wilder s resume dont make justice, he is damn good fighter, but he has the resume of the typical eurobum

 

For someone who's never witnessed or studied an ATG career, It may seem like that. But for the rest of the sane fans, It has everything to do with skills, what you brought to the ring and who you beat.

You can either become an ATG by either having a long reign as the champ or by beating fellow ATGs(or in rare cases, both). You can't reign as a champ for years without elite skillset(whether the competition is called weak or not), nor can you score several wins over fellow ATGs without it.

But congrats though, for reaching a whole new level of idiocy with that last sentence.
