I agree MAB was a close to prime as he was going to get in the first fight, inversely people claim EM as Prime and he was in the middle of a 1W-7L streak.

    Common opponents-

Pacquiao was better than Mayweather vs. Hatton, Cotto, DeLahoya, and Mosley. Pacquiao stopped all 3, Mayweather stopped Hatton.

Mayweather was better than Pacquiao vs. Marquez... but Pacquiao fought Marquez 4 times.

    Let's get to the point-

    Marquez-

He was much better vs. Pacquiao than he was vs. Mayweather. When Marquez fought Mayweather he had jumped up to WW/147 from LW/135. A year before he fought Mayweather he was fighting at SFW/130, 18 months before that he was fighting at 126. Marquez was much better and stronger at 147 in his 3rd and 4th fights vs. Pacquiao... both of these fights were after his bout with Mayweather.

Pacquiao vs. Marquez I- Pacquiao dropped Marquez 3 times in the 1st round. The fight could have easily been stopped in the 1st round. Marquez fought back and the fight was scored even after 12 rounds despite the 10-6 round 1 for Pac.

Fights 2 and 3 were close, Marquez was down once more.

Fight 4 was a battle, both traded knockdowns then Pac was stopped in the 6th round. No excuses, shlt happens.

What if Pac would have gotten that KO1 victory over Marquez though?

Pac also has wins over Bradley (should be 2 clear wins in the eyes of any sane person) and Joshua Clottey among others. Say what you will about Clottey but I thought he deserved the win over Cotto plus he gave Margarito problems... Pac clearly beat him. Algieri and Margarito were not highly regarded but they were tall guys with long reaches, big durable guys... one with power, one not so much, but a good boxer. Neither stood a chance vs. Pac.

May had his struggles with Maidana x2 and to a lesser degree Alvarez. Both very good fighters. Guerrero is durable but no match for the elite fighters. Ortiz actually gave May some trouble before getting stupid and stopped. Baldomir was made to order. Zab Judah had his moments vs. May in the first half of the fight.

They are both great, let's see what happens on May 2.

Why in the hell would Bradley or Hatton be going to the hall of fame?

    Retreads?

Manny fought Cotto before Mayweather did and was able to dominate and stop him.

Manny fought Marquez before May. Marquez managed to get a win in their 4th fight but Pac dropped him 3 times in the 1st round of their 1st fight (fight ended in a draw).

Manny fought Hatton a year and a half after May... Mayweather KO10, Pacquiao KO2 (and I thought he was dead for a second).

DeLaHoya was better vs. Mayweather and a case can be made that he beat May. DeLaHoya was crushed vs. Pac but seemed like a weight drained shell.

Mosley rocked the hell out of May in the 3rd round but clearly lost a decision to May. Mosley was dropped and dominated by Pac. The KD he got over Pac was BS. May fought him about a year before Pac. He was about the same distance past prime for both.

I think an argument can be made that @ 140 and below, Pacquiao *may* have the better resume. @ 147 and above, it's Mayweather by a WIDE margin...

lol. Don“t you think you should go watch MMA or something boxing might be a bit to complicated for you.

And to answer the ops question: Manny by a mile. Even if Mayweather beats the great pac. Manny will still have the better resume.

Difficult concept to grasp for people who only has half a brain, I know.
Terms like "quality of opposition" and "hall of famer" and "most number of lineal titles" will surely elude that simpleton brain of yours.

But it's all good. Ignorance, indeed, is bliss.
In your mind Jimmy Barry must be the undisputed P4P champ.

Now go watch Sr rapping again instead and enjoy yourself.

It's obvious you don't know **** about boxing. Where is Genaro Hernandez?

And BTW; Pacquiao has NOT won titles in 8 weightclasses...

    Really?

If that's true then Junior Jones, Zahir Raheem, Freddie Norwood and Chris John ALL have better resumes than Pacquaio because those guys beat MAB/Morales/JMM BEFORE Pacquiao did.

Fact is, Mayweather's shutout of Marquez ****es all over Pacquiao's entire career...
