So I fought at the amateur level from 2006 to 2008 in GA.I had 10 fights, one of which I lost at the GA Golden Gloves in 2008.I have not fought since.Im looking to make a comeback next year.I have my doubts about wheather or not I will ever make it big given my age,but I must give it a try.I want more amateur expereince, but I know time is running out and I need to turn pro quickly.Im thinkimg I will get a few more fights, then turn pro over the summer. Is this a good idea? Here in Atlanta the scene is pretty slow,I want to move closer to my hometown Chicago(maybe Indianapolis)so I can fight more frequently. At the earliest I will have my first fight back next March because I need to get a three crown bridge put in my month in January, and it takes six weeks to heal up.Is this something I should be worried about?Have any of you guys ever boxed with crowns/implant teeth and if so how did that work out?I know the chips are stacked aganist me,but I have a burning desire in me to continue boxing and I dont want be 35 years old wondering what could have been.Any advice would be well apperciated!!
Do it bro, 26 isn't old at all. I am 24 and just started my amateur career. I am hoping to get about 2 or 2.5 more years of amateur experience in. If that 2.5 years come and I don't want to be a pro then so be it I will continue amateur boxing until my 34 year old age limit.
