What do you think about Hatton who was almost KOed by featherfisted Collazo and out on his feat against Juan Lazcano before the ref helped him out with 'shoes untied' excuse? Or do you only like to talk bad about Cotto and ignore Hatton's dificiencies?

I think Cotto would have beaten Hatton at 140 and would beat him at 147. Just because he would negate Hattons ring strength and has better technical skills.

3 four or five oh thats no big deal. I think that the scores were 115-112 and 116-111 twice, dude that is more then taking some rounds off. Keep in mind a fighter can be winning a fight and taking a beatting at the same time...Wait isnt that was was going on in Cotto's last fight??? What about Chavez vs Taylor??? Paulie was winning alot of rounds in that fight and without the knockdown your looking at a very close fight. Paulie didnt win a round tonight is was outclassed and that wasnt the case in his fight with Cotto.

I think even the biggest Cotto fan would have to admit that Hatton would give him one hell of a fight at 140?

He wanst ignoring Hattons weaknesses, he was using Beenies logic
against him, read all the posts my friend, dont just skim through them.

For everytime you mention how Hatton was nearly KO'd
the same can then be mentioned about Cotto, so by using
that arguement your on a loss, the fact remains both can be stopped,
but it appears from a sustained beatint not just some one punch knockout.

Hattons chin is very good in my eyes, Tyszu is twice the puncher Cotto is and Hatton walked through those shots, but Cotto's chin at welterweight appears to have improved due to the obvious issues of not being weight drained.

I'm well aware that Corley was able to hurt Cotto in fact I posted a highlight vid of Cotto earlier today that features some highlights against Corley.

    Check it out:

But that was at 140 and Cotto has shown to be able to take Mosley and Judah's best shots at 147. I really think the question that people should be thinking about is whether not not Hatton could take Cotto's punches which I think is a resounding no.

If a fight were to take place it would be at 147 and Hatton did say tonight that he would be willing to move up again.....

....of coarse that was when asked about a possible fight against the ODH/Pac winner.

Yeah, because you can tell when a fighter took rounds off by looking at a scorecard, and because judges scorecards always accurately reflect what transpired  Whatever you say man. It's hilarious how you dismiss Cotto's wins over Mosley and Judah saying that one "had been shot for years" and the other "just stood around not doing much." Yet, you're putting so much stock in a win over a fighter that clearly has regressed over the past two years. A fighter who arguably lost his two most recent fights and who has been reduced to fighting with one hand, and barely mounted any kind of an attack tonight. If Cotto fought Malignaggi tonight what do you think would have happened?
