    Damn. Boilermaker is solid.

I hope this retirement is as valid's as most of Ray Leonard's.

With Boilermaker's pending retirement, who is now to defend the legacy of Bob Fitzimmons ? Reconsider B !!!

    Best wishes Boilermaker.

Many good posters have left over the years. Old Fogey, Marciano_Frazier, and Ted Spoon come to mind. Ted still posts ever now and then. I hope you pull a Cross_Trainer and leave for a while then come back.

    Nah, doesn't add up.............

Boilermaker good luck, I found you to be one of the more productive posters here of original stuff from way back, I'll genuinely miss your input. I know how you feel though as I've nearly bailed out a few times and only interact with some posters now.

    Haha maths always adds up!

I agree though boilermaker was a very original poster with a unique mentality.

I'll miss his explanations of why ruby is the goat at lmw, mw, smw, lhw and cw.

    PP,
Sorry i didnt respond to this post before i retired.

I meant to, but most have forgot to submit. I do watch modern boxing but not as much as some on here. The fights are like are those that are well built up enough to make you care about the result. Mayweather Pacman will be great even though i expect Mayweather to win quite easilly. And fight with an Australian in it, because i want to see them win. Most Mundine fights, The Klitchsko's although mainly because i want to see an upset so that we can have a unified title again. Hope that makes sense.

I post mainly on old timers here (and would anyway) because it is the classic section and we all know what the general section is like here. Anyway, in my retirement, i have started to follow the modern scene a little closer, and thanks to the new forum i post on i was alerted to this absolute gem of a fight which leaves Khan Patterson for dead.

The fight was between two undefeated modern sized and skilled superheavyweights. For the Highly regarded Latinao heavyweight championship My two new favourite fighters actually and two guys who are the future of this sport. In fact i dare say that it is living proof of what you guys have been telling me for ages. There are hundreds of guys in the local gyms today, who have better fundamental skills than Corbett, Fitzimmons, Jeffries, Sharkey and John L Sullivan and co.

Please watch these two undefeated professional greats and let me know what you think.

Thank you for this fight. Hell, Greb, Robinson, Leonard, and other old relics couldn't hold a candle to these modern well conditioned phenoms....
    Reconsider B...

 It's Creed-Balboa 3 right there. How are your Aussie title fights? British Title fights sometimes make gfor Gatti-Ward type match ups if you fancy following this thread for a few of them
