Reuben 'Hurricane' Carter k.o's Florentino Fernandez in 1 round

Brutal.. Never saw this one before.

Yet another inept referee. Waving Carter to the neutral corner, counting to 10, etc. Clearly the fight was over, no one gets up from that...he could have counted to 1000. I liked the doctor kind of pushing the ref out of the way a little bit so he could check on Fernandez and get his mouthpiece out so he could breathe...he knew the ref had no idea what to do. As soon as Fernandez fell through the ropes like that the ref should have stopped the fight and been pulling the mouthpiece out.

 

Look at the way his head almost starts nodding (for want of a better description) after taking that final blow. Never seen that before that i can remember.

 

I sure like that Franciscan-like robe of Carter's.

 

Excellent punching...what a finish.

 

When Carter was on he was a force to be reckoned with against anybody. Real hard fast precision punching. Beast mode.
