One of the strangest nights of boxing iv seen for a while

Mcdonnell didnt look himself against a guy who looked 2 weight divisions below him l, getting tagged easily and seemed to be blowing early which is strange as Mcdonnell has a great engine. Very strange end to the fight. Needs to be better against Kamada

Quigg looked good i thought but also impossible not too against a very poor opponent, alough very tough and game he was very very limited. Needs one of the top boys next ( santa cruz, rigo or framton) or his career could go stale.

Callum Smith boxed pretty well against a ageing experienced man, llooked good in spells but lacked a killer instinct and seemed abit stiff at times, no need to rush smith hes not ready for the top boys yet.

Groves wasnt very impressive at all very messy fight he looked to be getting very frustrated at times, there seems to be something missing he is not the fighter he was under booth his footwork that sharp hurtful jab his faints ect all seem to be faiding out his game. Needs to step up soon as another defeat anytime soon would have a massive impact on his career

James Degale looked very good iv not been a big fan in the past but hes starting to impress me, periban did look abit out of shape and questions have to be asked about his preparation but Degale can only beat whats infront of him, next move depends on Froch but id favour him over groves on recent form

Anthony Joshua again can only beat whats infront of him but after sprotts last 2 losses being 1st round kos what happpend last night didnt surprise me in the slightest, hes looking very good but thats no surprise against men half a stone lighter and 6 inch shorter. I wouldnt but him in with someone like price yet no need to rush him id like him in with someone to give him rounds and a simular size. I think kevin johnson is a good next opponent then a ustinov type fighter after that

Clev v Bellew!! Well what a strange fight. Was clev injured beforehand? He didnt seem to want it at all barely throw anything of any meaning even his jab that he constantly pumped out for the first few rounds had nothing behind it. For a man that had such a great engine he gassed after 7 and sat on the roped for the last 4 rounds barely moving or throwing very strange. Bellew worked hard but again was unimpressive. Dont know were they go from here but marco huck will beat them easily and a 3rd is a definate no no for me

Clev seemed to reluctant to engage, seemed like he didn't want to be in there. Think clev has lost his love of the sport and may retire.

Fair play to Bellew but can't see him winning a title even in the weak cruiser division!

Saunders is one of the most skilled fighters I've worked with but last nights performance was poor to say the least, to keen to impress which I suppose is understandable.

Froch v Groves 2 was also a very poor fight until the final punch.

Would be great to see Eddie Hearn book Wembley Stadium for Groves v DeGale 2 and be supported by 80,000 red plastic seats.

That is the message the fans need to give him and Sky Boxing.

I know i wouldnt expect it too. Bradley will have a few more tune up fights i think curtis would be a good fight for him next even tho i like curtis id expect bradley too be too strong
