Will need to think on this for a long while. Toughest hypothetical matchup for me since Perez vs Chang.

Rose would give him heaps of trouble...His handspeed and athleticism is some of the best that division has seen.

I see Jofre's skills and punch being the difference in the end...I think he keeps Lionel under wraps enough with that golden combination he had of technical ability and power. Causing Rose to be a little to defensive and cautious and not unleashing with those lightning quick two handed attacks that baffled so many when he was at his best.
He will be awkward and tough to pin down but I dont think he has the pop to keep Jofre from working him out.
Jofre would keep his cool, wear him down and probably deck him at some stage on his way to a hardfought 9-6 decision.

    Top fight.

I agree, and this is a good post. Been my opinion before and i'm taking that stance again this time. Jofre must be so hard to beat at range, with them accurate combos he lands at such. And like you say he would be able to keep Rose there, at least in our opinion. Rose has fast hands, and takes rounds on that jab, it's a bit like how Hearns or Foster flashed it out at times. But Rose sometimes would be looking to land the jab once at a time, and you've just got to expect Jofre to land more in the grand scheme of things because of that. Like you say over the long haul i personally only see it for Jofre.

I think Jofre should be able to overpower him at some point. Perhaps Rose's footspeed gives him trouble early, but I think Jofre catches up to him by the middle rounds and then stops him late.
